Shoshanna Kahne
Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellow
After becoming interested in research as a Biology major at Tufts University, my work as a technician in Andrew Camilli’s lab inspired me to pursue a PhD in molecular microbiology. In 2017 I joined Heran Darwin’s lab at New York University where I studied regulation of proteolysis by the bacterial proteasome in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. As a postdoc, I’m excited to learn more about bacteriophages, bacterial defense systems, the Seattle ceramics scene, and hiking in the Pacific Northwest. Shoshanna was recently awarded the highly competitive Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Postdoctoral Fellowship (we are very proud).
