Shally Margolis
Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellow

Shally received her undergraduate degree in Biology from New York University, and her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley where she worked in the lab of Russell Vance studying sea anemones to understand ancient antiviral and antibacterial immune mechanisms. Wanting to understand even more divergent immune systems, and to explore the backpacking and food scenes around Seattle, Shally joined the Meeske lab in December 2021. In 2021, Shally received the highly competitive Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Foundation fellowship (we are very proud).
