Maddie Williams

Maddie graduated from the University of Washington in 2020, where she received a B.S. in MCD biology and a minor in microbiology. She fell in love with science while studying regeneration in Dr. Andrea Wills’ lab during her undergrad, and is very excited to be exploring her fascination with microbiology in the Meeske Lab. Maddie is originally from San Diego, but after 5 years in Seattle, the PNW finally wore her down and she, like Alex, also bought a Subaru. She will, however, never fully assimilate to the level of purchasing Birkenstocks. Update: After serving as the Meeske Lab manager for two years, making valuable contributions to two papers, and successfully applying for the NSF GRFP, Maddie is now pursuing her PhD at UC Berkeley!
