Jacob Gannon

Jacob graduated from the University of Washington in June 2025, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology with a minor in Bioethics. Since his first exposure to research in high school through a project on the canine gut microbiome in German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers, he has been interested in bacteria and their interactions with the environment. In his spare time, you’ll find Jacob relaxing by the window with a book on a rainy day, grabbing a $9 mocha with friends, or participating in a vigorous debate about the state of the world.
