Edith Sawyer
Microbiology Graduate Student

Edith graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2019 but keeps the New England (& Seattle) spirit alive through her Birkenstock and Dunkin' Donuts addiction. Initially drawn to microbiology by a bacterial pathogenesis class she took in undergrad, she is interested in the evolution of host/pathogen systems and joined the Meeske lab in the summer of 2023. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, hiking with her dog, and occasionally traveling. Edith was recently awarded funding from the Cell and Molecular Biology Training Grant!
